This small (5cm) discreet in the aquarium plants fish one of the most effective algae eaters. Otocinclus together with shrimp Caridina multidentata is present in almost all aquariums T. Amano. They are much more mobile than the ancistrus and unlike the latter devour the algae from the leaves of plants. Compared to any other fish otocinclus most effective against algae, and they are finding they do almost around the clock and do not damage even the most delicate leaves of plants. Very good clean leaves of these little plants as E. tennelus and Saggitaria subulata, and even moss Vesicularia dubiana. Prevent the appearance of red algae on the anubias. For a couple of days, the group otocinclus completely destroy the aquarium brown diatoms (brown algae): the "Brown algae appear to be a young aquarium. They cover everything from walls to driftwood and plants as veil.
