Sandy Melania Melanoides tuberculata, is a very common bottom aquarium snail, which they themselves aquarists as love and hate at the same time. On the one hand Melania eat waste, algae, and the perfect mixture of soil, not letting it sour. On the other hand, they multiply in incredible numbers, and can become a real plague for the aquarium.
